Automatic Revit/gbXML Thermal Loads Tool
Calculating building heating and cooling loads can be a time consuming task using software such as Hevacomp, IES, DesignBuilder or TAS… But not anymore! Creating the building model/structure is where the majority of time is spent during this task but why do this when it has already been completed by the architect? These days most architects design and detail buildings using 3D modelling software such as Revit. This 3D model can be exported in the form of a gbXML file which can be imported into a program that I have developed. Just by entering some basic parameters such as room temperatures, loads can be calculated and exported to a spreadsheet document (csv file). This is the second public release of the software (v1.20) which is free. I welcome any feedback and feature suggestions. Hopefully you will use the software and find it useful.
This software was a finalist in the 2018 CIBSE digital awards.
The software is free and can be downloaded here. A tutorial on how to use the software can be viewed on YouTube here.

Airlogger (read and/or monitor the properties of air)
The Airlogger is a portable device that reads, monitors and logs the properties of air. Due to the LCD display the instrument can simultaneously show the user all the current properties of air. With its huge internal memory the Airlogger can automatically capture time stamped data
for analysis in the future, although the device incorporates a graphic review tool so that data can be evaluated on the go. If data needs further examination it can be exported via the micro USB port.
A major benefit the Airlogger over other environmental dataloggers is the way in which it stores data in a Microsoft Excel compatible format. This gives many users the opportunity to interact with the captured data in a more in depth manner.
The sampling rate of the Airlogger can be changed to every 5, 10, 30, 60, 120, 300 or 600 seconds.
The Airlogger is accurate to the following tolerances:
humidity ±3%
barometric pressure ±1 hPa
temperature ±1.0°C
altimeter ±1 meter
The Airlogger is Ideal for monitoring various sensitive environments such as clean rooms, specialist warehouse processing areas and food storage areas. It is also useful to prove HVAC system performance and monitor the air properties in buildings that have been affected by water damage.
